Objective

To meet safety challenges through the development of new, multifunctional “warning” textiles that can be integrated into cars’ dashboard displays. These new displays will use dynamic light signalling, which is visible day and night, to warn drivers of possible dangers on the road. In the long term, the development of these technologies will contribute significantly to the deployment of semi- or fully autonomous driving modes in the vehicles of the future.

• Developing processes to integrate luminous textiles into plastic parts.
• Optimising the reliability of plastic parts with built-in luminous textiles.
